On February 11, 2026, our team gave a talk on creating backyard (or public) pollinator habitat. We spoke about common pollinators in the area, which native plants support them best, and how to use the Somerville Pollinator Action Plan to design your own garden.

We gave an in-person presentation to the NRC about the importance of protecting and supporting local pollinator species, through ecologically sustainable gardening techniques. Our talk included information on pollinators, eco-friendly spring and fall garden clean up, and native plant use in the landscape.
